MEET CHRIS WOODROW
Chris ‘Essex Man’ Woodrow has been angling for over 35 years and carp fishing for well over 30 years. He has fished all over the world during this time, not just for carp but many other species. Many of Chris’ achievements have appeared in leading monthly angling publications and he has written guest chapters in a number of books over the years including Carpworld; Big Carp; Carp Fisher; Angler’s Mail; Crafty Carper; BCSG The Carp; Carp Tales and various overseas carp fishing publications.
Lac Olivia is not the first private fishing lake he has owned and operated.
To quote Simon Crow, editor of Carp-Talk magazine, ‘Essex is indeed a wonderful carping character who has many a great story to tell about his angling life. Besides being a good laugh, Chris is a mighty fine carp angler. I grew up reading about his overseas adventures in the early issues of Carpworld magazine’. Chris has caught 50lb+ carp from several different countries, with a UK personal best 53lb 9oz common and overseas 76lb 4oz mirror.
